Workforce Pipeline
Building pathways from high school to medical school, residency, and practice in California’s North State
A stronger health system begins long before medical school. Emundi Foundation is helping support a long-term workforce pipeline that reaches from high school and college into medical education, residency, and independent practice. This innovative pipeline and curriculum include a bachelors—to—MD track. The goal is not only to educate future physicians, but to help grow a broader healthcare workforce rooted in the North State and prepared to serve its people with skill, commitment, and purpose.
Scholarships and Student Opportunity
Helping talented students pursue medicine with less financial burden and greater freedom to serve where they are needed most
Scholarships are one of the most direct ways to shape the future physician workforce of the North State. Emundi Foundation is working to expand opportunity for talented students—especially those with ties to rural and underserved communities—so that financial barriers do not stand between calling and service. Support incentives will also be available to our graduates and trainees to serve and set practice in the North State.
Community-Focused Medical Education
A new model of medical education rooted in community, shaped by rural and urban realities, and designed for the future of healthcare
Emundi Foundation is helping support a medical education model that connects scientific rigor with real communities. This approach is designed to prepare future physicians not only to master medicine, but to understand patients, families, systems, and the lived realities of care across California’s North State while equally able to practice in urban settings.
Clinical Partnerships and Community Care
Strengthening the region through partnerships with clinics, hospitals, health care systems, and community-based care organizations
Medical education is strongest when it grows in community at local and large urban medical centers. Emundi Foundation is helping support a distributed, community-focused model in which students learn across the healthcare settings of the North State while communities benefit from deeper educational and clinical partnership. Senior electives for our students at large urban academic centers will skill them in the best of both worlds to the benefit of the North State.
Research, Rural Health, and Public Health Impact

Emundi Foundation is supporting a vision of research grounded in rural health, public health, prevention, health equity, and community impact—work that can improve care, inform policy, and strengthen health across the North State. Emundi’s innovation center will be the hub for students’ and trainees’ academic activities and contributions.

Connecting California’s North State to the next generation of medicine, research, and care delivery right at home is at the core of the innovation center. Emundi Foundation is helping support an innovation platform designed to bring the future of health closer to home. Emundi’s Innovation Center will be a hub where doctors, researchers, and technology partners work together to bring clinical trials, new treatments, and digital health tools into our local communities to help our patients and create new technology solutions for healthcare everywhere.
