Emundi Foundation exists to raise and steward the resources needed to help create Emundi College of Medicine and, within it, Emundi School of Medicine and its innovation platform for California’s North State.
This is more than the creation of a new school. It is the building of a lasting institution—one designed to grow our own healthcare workforce, expand opportunity for local students, and bring more care, research, and innovation closer to home.

Across California’s North State, physicians and community leaders have come together to help build a long-term answer to one of the region’s deepest challenges: the shortage of physicians and other health professionals. Emundi is being built as an independent, nonprofit, MD-granting institution—locally guided, community-rooted, and starting small to grow organically. Its purpose is not only to strengthen the healthcare workforce, but to help create a durable source of opportunity, innovation, and regional vitality for the North State.
What We Are Building
From the North Sierra to the Pacific North Coast, Emundi Foundation is helping support the creation of a distributed, community-rooted academic institution for the North State. At its center is a planned independent MD-granting medical school and innovation platform designed to strengthen the physician workforce, widen opportunity for local students, and connect the region more fully to research, advanced care, digital health, and the future of medicine.

Emundi Foundation’s mission is to raise and steward the charitable resources required to support the creation, development, and growth of Emundi School of Medicine within Emundi College of Medicine—helping build a lasting institution for health, opportunity, and innovation in California’s North State.

We envision a California North State where excellent care is not defined by distance, where local students can prepare for lives of healing and leadership close to home, and where academic medicine, innovation, and public health help strengthen the region for generations.
